Client Download?

I uninstalled the game and tried to install via steam though it wouldn't let me, Now I can not seem to find the client page to download the game again. I found some links on google but when it downloads a launcher it says that its a possible dangerous program. Does SE have a real Client download page?

Since all my character data is gone will I have to use my last fantasia to get my character back to how she looked before I uninstalled? I notice that ff arr uses files on the pc for reference such as builds etc. Also saved character data though I thought this game was server sided so my toon will be jacked up since I deleted the character data?

When you uninstalled did you remove the Final Fantasy XIV folder from Documents/My Games? If not you'll be OK when you reinstall. Otherwise you'll need to redo all your Hot Bars and HUD Layout. Your character will be OK because what is saved on the PC is just any "looks" used when you created characters. Your current looks are always server side.

You are warned about the file being potentially harmful simply because it's an executable file (that is, a program) not because of any kind of analysis of what the program is going to do (install an MMO that will take a lot of your free time away).
