Any plans for auto-blocking?

With the removal of the stamina bar the Guard ability has no cost on it, it's just something you need to activate everytime your shield falls, it's annoying. It also looks wierd holding your shield in a constant position, I miss seeing my char actuely doing a block with the animation.

Any chance of making it work like in ffxi where you shield block automatically?

I would like this very much even though I don't play GLD at this time. I played GLD in beta and decided it wasn't for me precisely because keeping the shield up was a chore.

another thing i asked for before was a visible icon like buffs have to show when your shield is raised.

I'd like this as well... I'd ALSO like for guard to work against mob TP abilities. (the physical ones atleast.)

Pugilists can "evade" Physical mob tp moves, and when they do it proc's their evade counter abilities, like hay maker and simian thrash.

Would be nice if we could "block" them and access Phalanx.

Ive been wanting this since the beta...

I agree with the OP, I also find this very annoying.
GLA would be a more enjoyable class if they got rid of having to put up the shield manually every time.

I don't even play GLA, and I'd like to see this. +1

That, or at least a visible guard indicator on top of the screen. Just a small grey shield icon that shows your guard is up.
