Echo in Dungeons
Why is there no Echo in lower level dungeons?
I was doing Brayflox (normal) with some new players through DF.
We were having a hard time beating the boss, even giving them all the tips I could, just didn't seem like the Tank could last a few hits or the Healer could keep up.
For Aiatar to be that hard for new players seems a bit unfair.
I thought we would get Echo after failing so much but nope.
In the end, we got him to about 8% before time running out.
Another thing, let us finish the boss or die trying before getting kicked out of a Duty for running out of time. At least give us an overtime to try and win.

Brayflox is the first time the training wheels come off for new players that is kind of the point. Figuring out to beat Aiatar is the very first lesson you need to learn in FFXIV it requires you to work as a group. Making it easy to faceroll after failing a few times and not being able to handle it kind of ruins the point of progression. Echo in endgame is already a long debate if it's a good or bad thing don't need to make it even easier to level for new players by holding their hand the whole way. Before that the games dungeons and guildhests teach you the basic mechanics. Players have all the tools to win that fight already.

Well, I do remember my first time going in as a 32 warrior. Was a rough time but I made it through. And you are right about the training wheels. I gave them all the tips I could and how I would tank it. They weren't horribly geared either. Well I hope those three newbies learned something from it all and tackle it again with victory.

Only low level dungeon/trial that needs echo is Garuda Normal Mode.

I agree, I am always down to help new players and I stuck with them to try and get them through it. We didnt win but hopefully they learned something new. I just think that maybe after so many failed attempts that Echo should have kicked in. We don't want the new players to get too discouraged now do we?

My first run of Bray was fun. The team I was with ran it before but they didn't want to spoil things for me so let me figure stuff out. We had fun.
It does require a bit of brain power though. But all in all the game does help out with a lot of the info for it. It's good training in general.

That dungeon es specially a nightmare for SCHs

They had 90 minutes. That is more than enough time. Plus you can't win every challenge every time.
-
"What's Esuna?" Lol, I still remember that guy.
I don't support echo at all, but it makes more sense in low level then in endgame. At least in endgame people can overgear it.

echo in dungeons is def not needed. they get progressively harder for a reason. if they cant tackle those without aid I don't wanna roll with them in even bray hm or hala hm never mind the others ones that's now in high level roulette.
and no I don't mind helping new people out and spending time to teach them but seriously we all had to go through that stuff to get to where we are whether your raiding or killing ex primals or just running content as and when you want.
its a learning curve for a reason.
