SEVERE LAG PROBLEMS!

I live in NY and i have Verizon Fios, between the times of 8pm-11pm EST, i have SEVERE LAG PROBLEMS, so bad that i cant even craft. I have had this problem since 2.3 came out and it just keeps getting worse. I have absolutely no problems doing anything outside Final Fantasy. How do i know? i am able to stream shows on Hulu, Netflix and Crunchyroll. Ventrillo ping is 50 when connected to a pacific server and my Teamspeak Ping is the same.

So please fix this problem. I have already talked to my ISP multiple times and they say there is nothing wrong with my connection. Just when I play Final Fantasy.:mad::mad::mad:

There is nothing wrong with your connection
There is nothing wrong with Squares connection.

What there is a problem with, is your greedy isp, and other greedy american isp's refuse to expand their connections to third party peering networks unless they are paid (by these third party networks) to do so.

So what happens is that during the hours you have indicated, congestion occurs due to all the people watching netflix and using other internet services where these connections join, and not only does data get delayed, it also gets lost.

Sorry but my ping is fine and constant. This is a bad of SquareEnix and the lags are horrible if you want to play at prime time.
The servers are to weak!!
Also the emotes of spells (just the effect when it hits you) from other people is in time. But where you see them and when you see the spell progress as there movement is more then a second late.
And about ISP, SquareEnix has NOT supported IPv6, that caused to decrease the possibility’s of routing.

If your ping is truly "fine and consistent", then you wouldn't be experiencing network lag.

Pings are one of the first things that get sent to lower priority in the traffic shaping policies when congestion is detected in route. The TCP protocol can also throw it's own mechanism in as well when it detects high error rates/congestion.

So, if your route is clean as you say, then you should not be experiencing the lags, just like so many others do not when their routes are clean.

Oh, and this game is NOT hosted in the USA, so that is not a fair comparison.

I know that this game is not in the USA but in Canada, lvl3 is one link from EU to USA so I did not explain it any further.
my ping is 120 at day and reaches 130 at prime-time and never beyond, no packetloss.
So my ping is fine and consistent. And where do the lags come from? Ask SquareEnix.
I also said that the spell emotes reaches in time (from one player to another) which I know cause my girlfriend an I are playing side by side. I can see that she starts her cast a second after she did on her PC, but the emote when the heal hits me fits just fine but when I jump it needs a second that it can be seen on her screen. The positions of the player characters are wrong almost all the time. When I start moving the game needs a second (maybe more) to show it to others same for interface but heal casts reach in perfect timing.
So:
ping is constant
heal casts are in time
till the heal effects (interface) it takes a second
damage effects are in time
needs 300-600ms until the game recognize that your character is moving when you're casting and same the other way
damage taken (interface) is a second late
and every thing else is late
and now please tell me who's fault this is!
It is not my ISP and it is not my PC, what or who is left but a weak server or lousy programming?
This errors and lags were in no other game I played before (and I played a lot MMORPGs!)

Experiment:
ask a (ingame)friend of yours to help you with al little experiment if this is just a bad ping, just takes a few minutes. Your friend locks camera on target (you) and steps as close as he can, now he starts running to the left (orbit you) and you observe from above if he really runs a perfect circle, it is just the ping. But if not (it looks like a triangle to me) the error is within the game or its servers. Remember a max distance of 1 to 5 yalmes

You are mistaking Ping with Latency.

Pinging is just a method of observing round trip Latency.

Since you don't (didn't) even know that, I cannot trust anything you have to say on the matter.

Raist and myself have exhausted ourselves trying to figure this out for ourselves and all of the evidence has pointed towards American corporate greed, and their unwillingness to properly neutralise and regulate the internet service as a utility domain.

I do know what RTD is.
So, at 130ms RTD (the time from my pc to FFXIV server and back including processing times of all routing points between) it still needs a second to update my UI (buffs, debuffs, life of other group members and so on) and the positions of other player characters. Why does it take so long to get this information when the time from server to my pc is about half the RTD (about 65ms).

Please explain this because I do not understand (I really don't)

So it seems American corporate is not the only problem there is (and it is not mine, at least not any more) there are issues with ISPs also in Europe and these problems are hard to find and harder to bypass. So I do understand your point of view and agree. But my problems still exists even when my routing is directly to Canada (avoiding US). At least my main issue will remain as long as these servers are incapable of handling this amount of players/data.

is it a coincidence that many others are experiencing the same issues? this is 100% on squares end, like i said, i DO NOT have problems doing anything outside Final Fantasy, streaming, playing dota, playing LoL, BF4, Diablo 3 and other games. please fix this SE.
