FC BANK Hacked!!!!

Hi thre folks just wanted to post about a situation that just happened to us tonight. I am a leader and a founding member of my FC on balmung server. our FC had steadily been growing since we established and now that 2.4 rolled through we have been kicking into high gear rrecuriting new and return plays to join us. we invited a particular person to join us this week and everything seemd fine for the last few days but he just didn't talk much on fc chat. didn't think much of it but was happy to have him on board.While me and the 2 other lead members of our fc were in Sastasha HM doing a late night run, this particular individual went into our FC bank and removed all of our store FC items in tabs one and two. thankfully we had our tab thee locked for more high value items. we had every slot in both tabs filled and a lot of time went into acquiring our stockpile. among items taken were multiple minions crafting mats ingredients items yielded from our garden Krakka roots thavnarian onions and a few obscure hard to locate items,


Now I know that this is not news in the world of MMO and I know that there is not much in the way of doing anything to that specific person but I guess I felt the need to come here and vent frustration about how one person had to be so selfish. And now we have put our FC bank on lockdown until we get things sorted out and are questioning if we should even use ou fc bank to store anything at all . I hate the idea of not allowing members access to items that could help them but where do you define the line of being to trusting or not trusting enough of our fc members.

That has nothing to do with "hacking" at all.

I had a 'trusted' 2nd in command leave the FC looking like the morning after The Grinch Stole Christmas. This slimy thief took not only the contents of the chest, but the entire chest. The summoning bell, material supplier, mender, furniture, wall fixtures... You name it. Now, I'll admit that we were not getting along personally, but I entrusted her with everything. She stole it all. Nothing less than a thief. I turned this into the GM and was told to lock everything down. I thought, "are you serious?" That's like telling me to keep the spare key to the car in a safe after the car has been stolen.

It happens, you get over it. You learn to keep the good stuff locked away and don't trust people in your FC, even if they've been with you the entire time. The person who stole with me got what she wanted: ownership of a new FC, a house and all the fixings. Is she scum? Yes, but scum gets to play this game too.

Same thing just happened to me on Balmung and se says: Oh boy that sucks. Im glad that I only leave one tab open but come on.. I need one tab so members can get brooms, and dyes, there has to be some level of trust and every ones been fine and using it properly till this person who cleared ours out and went to join another large FC on the server.

Were not asking se to investigate someone who takes a few dyes and does their chocobo here were talking about people who clear out anything they can worth gil and make it so everyone else who has been trustworthy should have to pay by being locked out of everything with no trust because SE doesn't wanna do anything about it. What good is a history tab when we cant report these people or say their names without se hitting "us" with a suspension while these people get away scott free?

I personally want that implementation wow had back when i played, allow a certain number of withdraws per day based on rank
Yes ppl can still grab and run but they are severely limited in the theft and can not empty the safe

As for furniture i dont really see a solution other than maybe fc binding things so ppl can take them elsewhere (could still still for a private room or desynth i guess but would stop most theft)...

You guys on Balmung seem to get robbed all the time. Is it a high RMT server, or do the dastardly just flock to you all?
