Please fix passive abilities for Levelsync

This has been bugging me for awhile.

If a passive ability like Shield Oath or Kiss of the Viper is active and you level sync down for a dungeon or fate, the ability is removed.

Please instead make the buff sync to the level of that buff relative to the sync, and resync when your normal level is restored.

The only time removal should be acceptable is if you aren't able to use that buff at all in the synced level.

The original reason for the sync system being this way was to keep higher level players with access to more abilities from being way stronger than lower level ones, even with their stats synced.

Take a look at SWTOR. You can level sync down to lower content in that game. you get to keep all of your abilities and just your stats are lowered. Problem is, your entire rotation/skill tree is based upon what abilities you have unlocked. So the result is that a higher level player will still do 2-3x more damage than a lower level one, even if their stats are synced down.

The system that FFXIV puts in place removes this disparity. Compare a lancer who does and one lancer who does not have access to full thrust. The damage disparity is massive since that skill completes a 3 hit combo and has huge potency.

Read the OP again... He's not asking to have shield oath when synced down to a level that doesnt have it, he's asking them to scale the buff in real time rather than forcing you to re apply it when doing content that's a lower level than you are, but still high enough to grant access to the ability in question.

exactly. The buff can be removed if that level didn't allow its used... otherwise it should be synced as well. Not removed.

Agreed, every time I hit a fate as SCH I have to reapply cleric stance and aetherflow. Its really annoying.
