Just wondering if someone could share their crafting rotation for the rank 6 Ixali quests. Nothing I've tried even comes close. I don't want to quit over something as ridiculous as this.

Thank you very much for the reply and advice. No surprise here that I didn't realize each quest added a different debuff. I'll try again with a lighter heart :)
Yeah, make sure you turn off each buff after you have done the crafting and before you pick up the next one. I made that mistake once :)
Just remember that the debuffs are technically "buffs" so you can cancel them by right-clicking on them like any other buff. Useful if you don't want to wait for the timers to run out before switching to another quest.
There are only two that should be difficult. The rest should be only slightly harder thank rank 5. The two hard ones are, I think, the FSH one and the one you get from the Lalagineer himself which requires running to that giant gate. Those two are very, very difficult compared to the rest. Fortunately for the FSH one, the debuff is Specialization (no cross-class skills), which isn't so bad if you have a 50 crafter. Just treat it like any hard synth. If you can, go CUL and use Hasty Touch on it under Steady Hand II.
For the Lalagineer quest, the debuff is half CP. You can use cross-class skills, but half CP is harsh with the crafting requirements. I don't know what classes you have where, but assuming you at least have all the level 15 skills and the CUL 37 skill, and you have at least 300 CP (150 after halving), I'd go with:
Inner Quiet [18]
Waste Not [56]
Steady Hand II [25]
Hasty Touch
Hasty Touch
Hasty Touch
Hasty Touch
Hasty Touch
Steady Hand II [25]
Ingenuity [24]
Hasty Touch
Hasty Touch
Hasty Touch
Basic Synthesis
Careful Synthesis
[148 CP total]
That's assuming no Tricks of the Trade procs, which would require changing up the rotation if you wanted to benefit from them.
If basic+careful isn't enough to complete the synth, replace a Hasty Touch with a Basic Synthesis. If THAT's not enough, you're level/gear is likely too low for this right now.
Of course, I have no idea how far that'll get you. What you really want is something like:
Comfort Zone [-14] *
Inner Quiet [18] *
Steady Hand II [25]**
Hasty Touch**
Hasty Touch**
Hasty Touch**
Hasty Touch*
Steady Hand II [25]
Hasty Touch***
Hasty Touch***
Great Strides [32]
Ingenuity II [32]
Byregot's Blessing [24]
Careful Synthesis II
[142 CP total]
* = Use Tricks of the Trade up to twice in these spots (max benefit: two total Tricks)
** = Use Tricks of the Trade at most once in these spots (max benefit: two total Tricks)
*** = For each of the 0-2 Tricks of the Trade done earlier, switch one of these two from Hasty Touch to Basic Touch
Note: This assumes you can craft it in a single CS2 while under Ing2.
Of course, a better rotation is to do something similar to the above suggestions, except take every Tricks of the Trade opportunity and use that CP when you get lucky to fuel Durability restorers, like Waste Not, Manipulation, or Master's Mend I/II. Don't use Waste Not II, as it interferes heavily with your ability to use Tricks. Don't bother with Basic Touch, just use Hasty, and at the end, finish with the usual SH/GS/Ing2/BB/CS2 finisher.
The other strategy is simply not to accept the 2 (or 3?) quests that half your cp. High Wind in Ishgard for sure - can't remember the other one. The remaining quests are simple.
The Isolator and Auxiliary Aerodynamo parts, I usually swap between Great Strides and ** Touch. Bit of luck, but even I fail these from time to time, lucky they are only 2 shards lost and yu can reclaim said items back from the NPC.
I think what these particular crafts teach crafters is that, there are all different methods for getting HQ and make yu think about your rotations.
High Wind of Ishgard - definitely dumb and artificially made more difficult (more so than intended). 34 attempts taking 45 minutes to complete last night. This morning again had it, so I gave up and went to work.
Even if you get to 84-96% quality, it'll still be normal quality. Needs to be 100% from all my attempts; again could just be RNG...but really?
How can a level 16 crafter (as the quest indicates is all it requires you to be) complete this? I have a hard time on 50 crafters...
I forget what the debuff is on that one but this http://www.ffxivcrafter.com/crafting...tor&guid=cbb0S is with unmelded i55 gear and hits 100% without RNG (like I said I forget the debuff so it would effect it)
read the comments on XIVDB its CP reduced http://www.ffxivcrafter.com/crafting...tor&guid=cbb0T again with unmelded i55 gear (I dropped the CP to 200 because I don't remember what it is.)
So long as you get to IQ5 you will get 100% so one of the hastys could fail.
I have no idea how a lvl 16 would do it without lots of RNG.
