2.4 Thoughts more quality of life.

After a fun day in patch 2.4 just a couple of things I want to bring up hoping to improve the overall quality of the game.

1.) Yep RMTs still sending friend requests to delay the blacklist. Really thought this would be fixed.

2.) Rogue Assassinate animation lock. It's very brief... but after all the fuss over Dragoon jumps I was really surprised future animation lock would even be considered.

3.) Loading screen to enter Rogue's Guild? 1 good reason why? People don't like loading screens.

4.) Commendations growing stale? People aren't using them anymore... Maybe a reward for passing them out "Paying your respects"

5.) Server down 25 hours... returned to a wilting garden. This should not be possible.

Not hating... Still love the game, but obviously there's room for improvements. Anyone wana add to the wish list?

Not a bad list, I'll admit. Also confused by the loading screen to enter "The Solar" each time one needs to meet with Minfillia. Just gonna tack that on to #3 there.

Feeling this.

Not usually prone to hyperbole, but RMT gets to be the exception. They deserve all of the hate. Devs, you need be actively searching for more ways to crush these parasites, because they are starkly intent on ruining your game for their profit. We need a "report" option added to the right-click menu, in addition to the blacklist restriction with an incoming friend request removed.

1) I didn't get a single RMT spam today and haven't had a friend request in over a week. I think the RMT are getting over this
2) Don't have Assassinate yet so can't really comment.
3) I think this is silly too. It could however have to do with total NPC count in the zone. Probably similar to why the Waking Sands and Rising Stones are instanced.
4) I haven't seen much of a lull in Comm granting really. They could add more than a Challenge Log entry though for giving them out.
5) Not sure there's much they can do here as every timer in the game is coupled to the server's internal clock. Wilting doesn't hurt anything btw. Just water and they're good as new. Now if they all died...

Yeah I really don;t get why the Anticedent's chambers have to be instanced from the rest of the instanced areas they're in.

As for my suggestions:

• The ability for Gearsets to access the old Macro icon system (where any skill icon can be used without having to see CD or ay point cost)
• The symbols for the Twelve, Classes/jobs and beast-men tribes added to the in-game font
• More Macro and inventory space

I don't know if this counts as QoL or not but the new dungeons just being recycled gear is a pretty big slap to the face in my opinion. With actual gear being basically irrelevant in 4 mans vanity was one of the only reasons to care about them aside from "Hit the weekly cap" and now even that incentive is gone. Oh and they've still got trash crafting mats aplenty littered throughout.

Next tier PvP gear is just re-skinned as well. Although I'm willing to take a hit on new gear every other patch or so to get more effort placed into content. As long as it doesn't become too over common.

Here's another QoL suggestion, a macro for using items.

/useitem "<Item Name Here>"

Potion sales would skyrocket if that happened.

I actually think they had this and then removed it... Not sure why.

It was explained once in a Dev Post why they didn't include an /item macro. Can't remember now what the reason was.
