SE Why Do You Hate Hunts?

So let me get this straight:

• 2COB is still the best place to farm Sand/Oil IF you have a group that can do it but -
• People still struggling to get T5 Clears.
• ST is unlocked, but there's heavy competition on drops now.
• No change to Soldiery from Hunts
• No Poetics from Hunts
• No Increase to Bloody Logs

Good job SE, you just got everyone to do Dungeons again.

There's no better way to get Alex than to Double-Dip by hunting (A Ranks give 20 Soldiery/20 Allied seals, so every 20 A Ranks is 3 Alex if you use Seals on Alex and Tomes on Maps), and the same double dipping can be used to get Weathered gear as well if you don't care about Novus yet.

Hunt are too easy, better that way

I quit the game after 2.3 because of hunts (just returned). It was such a chaotic thing and people were whining like little girls and the constant running more than anything it was just terrible (imo).

I don't think they hate hunts, they just realized how bad hunts screwed up progression and are fixing it as they go along. It's the right thing to do, honestly.

Yeah as sore as I am to see the Hunts become a very niche thing, I think it was hurting progression a little too much.

Full ilevel 90 gear for a few hour's painless grind was a tad too easy.

Now my only reason to pick up hunting is if I want the elite armours.

Hopefully they've learned their lesson and will work on changing Hunts in either 2.5 or 3.0 to work more like Treasure Maps or something.

Hind sight being 20/20, I think the hunts were a way to level set folks to the new gear set. Let's face it, 120 will be the new 110 in a few weeks and 100 is the new 90, which was the new 80 and so on. The hunts just made it easier for people to get. I will say this: (1) I get more blood spattered mark logs. I've received 7 over 2 days. That's pretty good odds. (2) S ranks ARE dropping poetics, so don't skip them fi you want some easy poetics.

I still hunt. I will still look to get BSML's, Alexandrite, chocobo fruit seeds, etc from the Allied Seals and gear from Soldiery. I think they changed the hunt for the better by leaving the poetics out of the A's. Now we've got people running dungeons. Heck, 9 or 10 dungeons is all you need if you do the right ones for max poetics per week.

You still get the same rewards and if I remember corectly a lot of people that did hunts said that the, soldery in that case now poetics, was just an added reward not nesessary. So is basically the same nothing change.

Loving the changes they made. Hunts should not, ever, be giving the insane rewards they did in the beginning.

As much as I agree hunts needed changed, they are not the same rewards, since sold is now myth, pre patch A gave 80 myth, now it's 20 sold , so rewards are a quarter of the amount, with 50 for S compared to 200 pre patch.
Personally I'm happy that it's changed as it destroyed the need for dungeons, just made it harder for new players to gear up via it now
