Paladin Novus and 2.4

Hello guys,

I've held back on melding my Novus until 2.4 (yes, I'm late to this party) so that hopefully, we would know more about the value of each stat. Since there still seems to e debate between stacking parry and accuracy or DPS stats, I was wondering if any of you could please help me.

Has there been any change in the stat weights now that 2.4 is out? Is going parry and acc a bad idea or not?

Acc/Det is best

Once you get more ilvl130 gear you might not need the ACC on your relic. You can swap it for something else, I myself would go for crit.

Thanks for the tips guys, does this mean Parry is not worth stacking? Could you please explain why that is, because I'm not so sure yet I understand. :)

I good middle of the ground would be Acc/Det/Crit to skip IVs.

And the ACC is very important for FCoB. 527ish cap for Turn 11. I was already juggling gear in turn10 last night. Sure when you are i130 you can probably drop some but that's 3+ months away for most tanks. Sands go to DPS first during progression its 1 a week, so 5-6 week best case for a tank to see one. Then you have the RNG Gods to deal with for deadwyrm. I cleared Turn7 25-30 times and never got HA fending legs.

Would you say a three-stat Novus would be a better option than solely acc/det or not?

Also, if I were to go three-stat, how should I divide the stats? This gear calculator suggest the following to even it out:

18 acc / 17 crit / 18 det for Curtana Novus
7 acc / 7 crit / 8 det for Holy Shield Novus

Does that look about right?

Acc/det is best but very expensive I think I spent 8 mil.

If you are going 3 stat which is just fine. Do as much acc/det as you can afford and fill in the rest with crit.

I will finally be starting my Novus soon too. Thanks for the tips SirTaint. I will probably go 3 stats since I am pretty poor right now.

Think of it this way: having excess ACC is a wasted stat, but not having enough might wipe your raid (or whatever content your doing). It's better to have some stats wasted then to be deficient in them.

With that said, I'd recommened to look at what SE is doing with its ACC on main handed weapons. POE has ACC and DET/Parry, while FCoB gear has Crit/Det/SS. This tells me that there will be enough ACC in the other sltos to cover the Main Handed weapons.

Now, what I just mentioned is 2.4, but it was different in 2.3. The reason I mention this is that it is near impossible to try and build a BiS Relic in this game. And, from what I have seen so far when it comes to MHs and OHs in this game, we get some where aorund the ball park of 20-30 ACC. So, take that as you will.

Anyways, here is how I built my PLD Relic set:
MH: 10 DET, 10 Crit, 10 SS. 23 ACC
OH: 7 DET, 7 Crit, 7 SS, 1 Piety.

That 1 Piety aint gonna make or break my end game usefulness ;)

Edit: Also, this Build is very cheap :D Mostly II and III Materias.

Quick question because i don't want to start a new thread.

My current Curt Stat allocation is 15 parry 20 acc 18 det and 13 acc 9 det on the shield
I know i wont get a lot of bonus stats when going nexus so i wanted to ask if i upgrade it to nexus, change stats after its nexus, to lets just say 30 acc 23 parry, will the bonus nexus stats automatically always be added?

Also does someone have a link to curt/shield nexus stat thresholds for bonuses?
