Primary Lancer Ability Not Setting

Okay... first time playing this character post-1.18 patch. She had been set up as a conjurer when I logged in and I played as that for about an hour, then took a break, then came back and was going to play as lancer for a bit.

I used my macro to switch to my lancer abilities. My macro first switches the weapon to my Harpoon, then sets abilities for 2, 3, 4, etc. leaving slot 1 free for the automatic ability. Only... no automatic ability sets. It starts at ability 2, Heavy Thrust, which is an equippable ability. The only abilities that set are equipable abilities and I don't have an automatic set ability in slot 1. If I remove my equippable abilities, I have 0 abilities as Lancer - this isn't right, is it?

When I switch to my ash cane, Spirit Dart sets just fine, but when I switch back to my Harpoon, nothing sets in Ability Slot 1. When I click on slot 1 in the actions menu it says "Unable to access action data. Please try again."

This was a result of 1.18. Lancer's main attack is now melee auto-attack, so it has no icon associated with it. It just happens while in range.

Conjurer keeps Spirit Dart because it's a ranged attack. They, too, will auto-melee in range.
