Idea for a new class, Mediator!

We need more support classes, I had an idea to include the mediator from Final Fantasy tactics, with a twist.
My experience so far with FF14:ARR has been good. The Disciples synergize well, but I think that the next step for the class system is to provide true support classes, between both pairs of disciples.
A Mediator has social powers, so here is what I was thinking for a power list. These powers seem like they could be problematic if spammed on one crafter/gatherer, so maybe the power will also apply a timed status effect that acts as a cooldown meter between uses.
Gift of Gab
Single Target Buff
Raises Perception/Control by X for X seconds to target
Kind Words
Single target buff
Recover 10 CP/GP to target
Silver Tongue
Single Target Buff
Increases the chance of high quality on item being crafted or gathered by X% to target
Gossip
Single Target Buff
Increases Gathering/Craftsmanship by X to target for X seconds.

Appeasement
Single Target Spell (raise level mana cost)
Returns target monster to neutral state. Does not work on all enemies. ADDITIONAL EFFECT: If target monster is not targeting you this also applies immobilize for X seconds.
Marching Cadence
Aura spell
Raises movement speed by X%
Lifestream
Single Target Buff
Increases target skill at materia meld by X for X seconds.

That's kind of what I've thought of so far. My point is that the one thing about the gatherer and crafter classes I have noticed is that it seems to be what you do off the grid, alone. I thought it would be nice to have some powers to help out your Gathering and Crafting friends.
You could run around healing other warriors in battle even without being in their party, but there is nothing we can do with our crafters or gatherers.

Of all the jobs out there.. I don't know why this would pop up. If we are reaching for lesser known jobs, why not Mime? :P

I think Mediator is a very unique support job and would be very welcome! The only trouble is that I would recommend against any Crafter/Gatherer buffs and give Mediator some offensive capability for solo potential instead.

As for Mime... Mime is basically the mage analog to Freelancer. Which is to say... either the worst job in the game or the most overpowered job in the game, depending on skill level of other jobs.

Mediator was pretty much just a beastmaster that could charm people to? And to the occassional status effect...

If i recall, they used guns... which is even more reason I would really cringe to see it, cause there's so many better gun toteing options.

The problem with your Mediator class/job is that it will definitely cause people to dual-account and/or bot while they're farming versus what you want, which is people playing together. I can also see people Mediator-ing for pay... >A>

Mediators already exist. They're called community managers :D

Oh, I know what Mediator is, don't worry. Though if it were applied, I doubt it would be exactly like Beastmaster, as Beastmaster would control an enemy monster directly like a pet job. In the case of Mediator, a charmed enemy (likely just trash mobs) would just attack on its own, just allies instead of enemies. That paired with various status effects to be used on allies and enemies alike, it could be a very solid support job that has an additional mechanic of temporarily taking on charmed trash mobs, maybe being able to use them in tandem with various mediator abilities, like giving them a massive damage buff that drains the target's HP so long as it's active or something.

Charm a trash mob, use it up, throw it out like a used-up packet of ketchup, charm the next one.
