The name and artwork say enough about the new expansion, but think about this too: custom airships coming, and Final Coil in 2.4 ...
Who else thinks we are gonna be fighting Bahamut in the sky when the expansion comes out?

Didn't Yoshida mention that the story of the Calamity (aka Bahamut) would end with the final coil?
The main focus of the expansion is not elder primals, it's the war between Ishgard and the dragons of Dravania (as seen in the logo of Heavensward), the main theory so far is that the main antagonist will be Nidhogg, a name you will get to know if you ever level up a Dragoon.
Because the players in this game have absolutely no timelimit on doing things and therefore can never fail at their duties, the resurrection of bahamut won't be successful.
wasn't it those same dragons that stopped the Garleans?
Probably not 3.0 and not even the next year but... When you complete t5, there is nothing to do in the bahamut's chamber but watching :p, right after t9, you re able to shut down 1 of the 3 lights feeding bahamut....... last coil and you will be probably able to shut down a second light and then, coil is over.
....
....
#huge/speculation : 1 over 3 lights could still remain and slowly revive bahamut at an extremely low rate, Bahamut fight in the sky, 24 man alliance, 4.0 / 2016, prepare your pointy sticks O.O for the most epic raid fight of all times.
Well theres that cgi vid where after they have the cards out on the table in an inn it cuts to a sky battle (think this was in 1.0 tho). Always did hope I'd get the play a part of something like that but I didnt stick around 1.24 to see where it went.
edit: this part is what i meant: http://youtu.be/mbcqHdY-UYE?t=4m1s
I may be wrong but the battle of the Garleans vs Midgardsormr happened before 1.0 and you only see it through the power of the echo, I don't know much about that battle, I've read that the death of Midgardsormr was what allowed primals to be summoned by the beast tribes.
Part of that battle is shown in ARR as well http://youtu.be/9AoLVVVe4nA?t=40s
