Question about seconday class bonus attributes.

I'm nearing becoming a Black Mage. My THM is lvl 29, close to 30 and my ARC just hit lvl 10. Therefore I just unlocked ARC bonus attribute points. I'm not super fond of the ARC and am just leveling the class to get BM. How do the bonus attribute points I assign work? Will they remain just with the ARC class, or will it carry over to my BM once I unlock it?

If it carries over, I need to focus on INT and VIT since I won't be using ARC anymore past lvl 15...

Each class gets it's own set of attribute points so don't worry about spending any on your arcanist as they are separate from your thaumaturge.

Besides, even if you do mess up and have second thoughts about what stats you put your AP into, once you're at a high enough rank in your Grand Company, you can buy a consumable item called a 'Hymn of the Keeper' which resets all AP in a particular class. Just be aware that the Hymn costs a lot of Grand Company Seals, so it's not something you can stock up on.

Supposedly as of patch 2.4, it is getting reduced to 250 seals.

Yeah it's right in the preliminary patch notes. Keeper's hymn going from 10,000 gc seals to just 250 gc seals.

Each class gets their own, so you can go ahead and put all your archer points into dexterity and still have all your thaumaturge points to put in intelligence. Those points only apply when you're that class. (Jobs are in this regard just a specialized version of their base class. As black mage, you'll have your thaumaturge attribute points, not your archer ones.)

you need archer to 15 for BLM but i would suggest getting some arcane also for physic which is a great heal and can save you some times while leveling and steal be helpful every now and then after though i am still lvl'ing my BLM
