AFK Boots in Frontlines

Something seems wrong when I get booted from Frontlines for doing something that helps win games. I'm talking about guarding flags. I have to keep tapping an analog stick to avoid being booted and if I forget then it happens. Two minutes go by quick when watching for incoming enemies or monitoring what allies are doing on the map.

May I suggest counting uncontested flag guarding as being active. Thanks.

If you are guarding the flag move your character around the circle to scan the area for people running in to attack. I sit on D every Frontlines pretty much and that is what I do, I've never been kicked from one of them.

If you are not moving in game then you are not actively defending a flag.

No thank you. You should be active in guarding a flag, which means scouting the area. There should be no reason you can't move for 2 minutes.

If you did the things you said you do, you'd notice the very obvious notification telling you to move or you'll be kicked. It pops up right in the middle of your screen.

Stop being lazy. The system is there for a reason. Allowing people to do what you suggest would make it possible for people to abuse the system even more.

...if you can't be bothered to tap the analog stick once every 2 minutes during a match I don't know what to tell you.

Hopefully you can understand how it can be abused otherwise.

lol There's this "well known" person in the adders that stands at OP 90% of the time every game. The 10% he doesn't is if the flag is under attack or when he actually plays a match. He's been vote-kicked a few times for doing it, but that doesn't stop him. If you point it out he'll cuss you out or troll you. If the OPs idea was added to the game this dude would probably just AFK every match. >.>; And I'm sure he's not the only one who would abuse this feature.

Anyway, to the topic... Guarding flags is nice, but I just simply don't know how I could possibly actively guard a flag for 2 minutes and not move, even after the "move or gtfo" message comes up. Now I'm not in the class of people who think what you suggested could be easily abused... and AFK person sitting on a flag "guarding" it would likely be easily killed, removed from the guarding circle, and rightly booted shortly thereafter.

IDK, I don't think its necessary. Just fiddle your joystick every 2 minutes or so, or do what other people suggest, circle the outside to look for folks who might be hidding/scouting. Be active and you might night find yourself DCing.

Given how huge the area is (still think the size of the area should downscaled to about 50% of what it is now) and how often/long areas can go for uncontested with nobody showing up, I support this.
