So basically we're going to be dealing with a new OS immediately after the FFXIV patch is released.

Who wants to bet we won't be online until either late on the 28th or the 29th?

If people are wanting to buy housing and are using a PS4, I'd HIGHLY suggest getting a friend to buy it for you.

Shit. Already made plans to get someone's ninja to fifty as a tank for 10 million Gil.

It's on OS update. They tend to be painless upgrades that take a few minutes to apply. Not a PSN maint. So don't see what the prob would be.

This is where I'd make a "PC Master Race" comment, but I don't want to get eaten.

Hmm... so the PS4 names it's version updates? Interesting. Oh, just to let you know, it's just a version update. PS3 gets these alot and, you know what, nothing happens (except for the version update that killed Other OS, that was a thing). Keep Calm and Play On

True, but it seems that this update is a bit more than the typical one (whole version number and all). Hopefully there aren't any bugs in it, and the PSN servers aren't overloaded with people attempting to download it. In either case, PS4 users should be made aware of this and make plans for if they can't get back on.

But as said PS3/PS4 updates tend to be much less painful than Windows driver updates, windows updates, adobe updates, java updates, etc....

yeah but we can always downgrade ;), uninstall , revert the update....or just ignore it :D
