So i got Final Fantasy 14 on PC when it first released and all my friends ended up dropping off the radar for several reasons and so I kinda just stopped playing (and never even got a class to 50 :( ). But I am looking to get into the game again (I know....late to the party) and was wondering maybe what some good servers are with friendly players that run stuff all the way up to current end game. Currently I'm on Leviathan right now and not sure what the state of this server is.
It really depends what kind of endgame experience you want. As far as I know though, Leviathan is one of the more populous servers. Endgame raiding is very active on the server and the economy is very strong (the server ranks among the most expensive for housing prices, hence suggesting average player wealth is relatively high). There's a number of helpful linkshells for lowbies as well, but I would say those are largely in decline as most new players have difficulty creating a character on the server to keep those groups going.
I might suggest Excalibur for competitive endgame raiding, and Balmung for the RP community as popular servers if those interest you.
