It is not stated clearly in the rules if running more then one pc and two separate accounts in an attempt to have you main character reap a the rewards.
these are the methods being used:
1.have you mule tag along quest, leves, behest for extra gil then transfer gil to main character
2. sell your main characters merchandise on another account then transfer the gil back to main character. this wil allow players to have an unlimited number of retainers while other players can barely get any in the wards.
3. use you 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th.... characters anima to teleport your main character for what seems like an endless amount of anima.
I find this to be an exploit of SE's decision not to charge us and therefore consider it cheating. So is it cheating or not.
I just wanted to add that this does not break any rules, i was wondering if you think it should be a rule. I know it would be imposable to regulate but that's not my point. There are several rules in place that are very hard to regulate yet most people abide by them simply cause it is a rule and most people have a good sense of morality.

While I do not approve this behavior as well, I do not see how they can track dual-boxing and sanction it.
Maybe it will die down a bit when they start charging monthly fees for the account... There will always be crazy people willing to pay for multiple accounts, but there should be less than if the game is free. -

some rules can simply be enforced by morality. people openly admit to doing it because it is not against the rules. most LS's don't tolerate rule breaking and therefore if SE would say if it was against the rules some people may stop. I know this wouldn't stop everyone but it would stop some i think.

I don't see why dualboxing is breaking the rules really, it can make it unfair for those with only 1 pc with 1 account but if that person has multiple PC and can dual/multiple play characters that's one way too no?
+ they had to pay for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th package to dual/multi play + once pay to play starts they end up paying all the monthly fees for each char... I knew someone in FFXI who had enough money to do that and not even work... lucky guy...
In the past I used my wife's char after she slept to transfer items to my 2nd character on my account (damn wish it's not 4 item slots per trade + where is delivery system...) it's pain in the butt to transfer items... takes too much time... did the transfer maybe at start of the game and never done it since lol.
As for getting double,triple rewards from leve's from using dual/multi box. I think those kind of stuff needs to be addressed like... have to make sure every player in leve is actually fighting or something. Noticed with crystal and shards they changed so it shows only those that was involved in the battle gets them, think that was for the RMT's carrying 10-15 mules following them at camps while they farm... I still see them though :(
Anima teleport I guess it's advantage for them, I see no harm with this one... wish I can do it like them... for me and my wife we just have different teleport points we go normally as favorite so we spend less but we're still under 50 anima points currently... I'm under 35 now after 1.18 patch lol. -

its not cheating, its me using my resources that i have at my disposal
they are seperate accounts, and when the game goes p2p i will have the choice of keeping them or paying for them
of course im not gonna keep them, but im gonna max out how many retainers im allowed to have on 1 account, itl be the same thing
but thats WAY off topic
and its still not cheating or exploiting, learn what those words mean -

If they use the 2nd+ account say... probably hard to do but actual party play by him/herself then I don't see why not but again it's not something easy to do unless their is a bot that can make 2nd+ char into magical AI character that cures, fights mobs with you w.Quote:

You could manage 2 characters with some good macros if you really wanted to.
