Can't get past the start menu.

I use a PS3. I can get to the lodestone page just fine, I'm able to log in from the Lodestone page, however, once I get to the Start menu, it stops responding to the commands of my controller. Even weirder, I can press my PS button and still use my controller in the PS3 menu. I logged on just fine yesterday and this is the first time I've had any issues like this. Anyone else experiencing the same?

The issue has come up before, and the only fix was getting a new controller.
