This is where we start translating... (Patch 2.4 Trailer differences thread)

The English is already hard to hear in places. I'll be trying to record that first and then begin on the Japanese. If our friends learned of French and German might come forward that we might begin anew with Trailer 2.4 as we did with Trailer 2.3, let us loremongers try to discover all that we might...

Iceheart: The tales do not do you justice, Warrior of Light. I know who you are, and you know who I am.

Louisoix: You have come far to hear the truth.

???: I am Emerich, Lord Commander of The Temple Knights.

Raubahn: Monetarist scum!!! Your crimes will not go unpunished!

I found the second part to be a lot clearer to make out than the first, strangely.

(It looks like he's in an empty room, so he's addressing spies/eavesdroppers of the republic.)

Yshtola:あら、イダに知り合いがいたなんて意外ね。
Oh? You(Ida) have connections/know people? That's surprising.
(This is hard without context.)

Minfilia:あなたも聞いたことがあるはずよ、星の意思、ハイデリンの（muffled）
I'm sure you've heard (of?), Hydalyn, the essense of the planet.

Teledji:ナナモ陛下か。あの方には最後まで女王でいてもらわねば、困るからな。
Her majesty, nanamo?
It would trouble us if she doesn't remain the queen until the very end.
(Nanamo is being addressed in the 3rd person. He's talking to someone else. Probably plotting.)

Shiva:我を救い、祈るべき神がいないなら、聖女にこそ、この祈りを捧げよう！
If there is no god that can save us or answer our prayers, then give those prayers to the holy maiden!
(I'm assuming she's referring to herself when she says 聖女, but I haven't done the 2.3 quests yet)

The French version:

Iceheart:
Tu n'aurais jamais dû venir ici, guerrier de la lumière.
Je ne fais que oeuvrer pour la paix, je t'avais déjà dis.

Translation:
You should have not come here, Warrior of Light.
I am only trying to make peace, I already told you.

I think out of all of the lines in the preview, Shiva's intrigues me the most. What exactly will the Primals' deliverance be?

Am I the only one whose surprised that Teledji's third person quote is pretty much the same across the 3 versions we have so far? There is more or less sarcasm, disdain, and intention depending on the language.

The specificity in the Japanese Re: Louisoix surprises me. I read that as him having more important information than just what happened in End of an Era. We shall see.

Iceheart's monologue at the end seems to imply in all versions (if she is The Holy Maiden and is Shiva, both foregone conclusions) that the theory of primals = the 12 can officially be debunked. Being that as it may, I believe that Shiva is being fueled by Ishgard somehow despite this fact. Ascian phlebotinum? She's close enough to Halone to benefit from Ishgard's devotion. I don't know. But I'll hold to that theory as I don't believe she has a beast tribe.

Am I the only one who feels like they hear a cut in the audio between "forsaken" and "shall"? As though there's another part of this quotation that was omitted, perhaps because it was spoilerific?

I'm amused that the opening Iceheart quote actually differs the most in tone and implication from version to version. I still stand by the belief that The Japanese implies that she knew that you were going to be at this precise location and so was waiting there. The English seems to imply that things could still be amiable between us, while The French seems to imply that you should have known better than to go where you went. It's all very odd.

It's interesting that Louisoix uses "vous" in the French version to refer to the player character, though it's probably to imply that he holds the PC/WoL in high esteem. Teledji using "tu" in reference to Nanamo makes sense, he's purposely being condescending and using language that implies she's inferior, because plot reasons.
