Tomestone changes
So, now that we know Mythology tomes are going, does this mean you will have to obtain il90 gear through hunt, then proceed with trials/dungeons farming for soldiery for il100, do hunt or ST/CT2 for sands/oils for il110 , and then i assume this new tome will be for il115 or il120.
Also i now assume everything that is currently purchased with Myth tomes will be changed to soldiery (ATMA books) , then there is the Unidentified Allagan tome weapon, will that be easier to obtain now?
Another thing, if the new tome does include new gear to get (il115/120) will the allagan gear in coils become obselete? Meaning more reasons people don't have to do coils.

You should expect the same changes we had at 2.2. Essentially most things purchased with soldiery will be easier to purchase (because the cap is removed and supply slightly increased) as well as additions to soldiery purchased items (new crafting materials for ilvl 100-110 armor and infinitesimally better foods) Some items currently purchased with myth will be purchased with a reduced number of soldiery tomes (books, maps, etc.) and some items will be moved to GC (likely crafting items, with older crafting items seeing a price reduction). Myth purchased gear is already on allied seals and will likely stay there. Alternative level 90 gear will likely be introduced in the new dungeons (possibly the same old myth gear, but more likely something new).
New tomes will be rewarded anywhere you can currently get soldiery, though likely at a reduced rate with the new dungeons granting the most. New tomes will be exchanged for gear with an ilvl of at least 120, with upgrades to 130 available initially through coil drops. Coil gear will probably be 130 (135 for weapons) This will make SCoB gear less attractive, though still quite competitive for several weeks, until eventually it's more or less obsolete (as level 90 BCoB gear is now). Players seeking the best gear/ challenge will move on to the third and final coil of Bahamut.

Welcome to the gear treadmill.

Pretty much what Nutz said, with slight variation that I'd assume the Myths to drop from the new 4-man dungeons (might stay with hunts as well, we'll see), just like Darklight did in 2.2, but only from optional chests. Meaning the boss chests will drop new i90 gear.
...Or mats.

new tomes are going to be capped at 450 as well, i assume. so getting new tome gear, will take a lot of time. just getting body and pants, will take a month. So SCoB gear will still be valuable, for alts and vanity.

Well I have a feeling the 90 Myth Gear will not be in dungeons but via Allied Seals, like it has been since the Hunt was available in addition to myth options. Just once 2.4 hits no more Myth as an option.
