Tab target confusion
Hey guys, it's really nice to find out that we have a section set up for new player ^^
I've started to play arr only couple weeks ago. One thing that got my confused is the targeting with the Tab key.
In other games like WoW or GW2 - - or any target based MMOs, press tab normally lock your target to the closest mob with your character facing direction, another press will move the target to the mob right next to the previous one. I found the setting was pretty user friendly to melee classes which I normally play.
However, back to ARR, press tab key on locking mobs does not target me the closest mob; even in case they do, if I press the tab again, it normally jump onto the furthest mob available @@
Is there a way of fixing this? or the target swap system just works bit different to others games, say, a random selection?
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to ARR!
Tab targeting works as targeting from left to right on whatever is on your screen. it can be a bit confusing, especially on large battles. a lot of times, when I'm using mouse and keyboard, I a lot of times have to do a bit of camera gymnastics to get only the creatures I am trying to attack in my screen, so that tab works as I want it to. there are ways around this, if you are using a controller, via the target cycling features, or via various targeting macros, such as /tenemy (which targets closest enemy)

Thanks mate.
Guess I would have to keep rotating camera angles in order to get used to the target system.

tab target it kinda broken imo, i prefer clicking from enemy to enemy.

All the little annoyances and QOL things, the tab targeting annoys me the most. I think it is broken. Very least badly implemented. Even with fiddling with the options and Target Filter Settings.
