Approaching The Drake Exception quest

I've been continuing the main storyline quest, at the moment, getting to it is a problem, where the area to get through has high level creatures/beasts. Would I need to complete the final ACN class quest, transferring to SMN?

My character is currently at Little Ala Mhigo, and I've been checking the map on the gamerescape site

You need to get to Forgotten Springs?
On the first trip go across the bridge just south of Little Ala Mhigo then follow the right path (Western side of the map). It will take you past some level 31 fire sprites that are passive. At the end you'll find what looks like a tomb. Talk the person in the back and you'll be in a small cave complex right next to Forgotten Springs.
Once there remember to tag the crystal and chocobokeep.

I assume you are trying to get to Forgotten Springs. If so, go south from Little Ala Mhigo, cross the bridge and then turn right. There is a cave entrance fairly close by, enter that and just keep going in. A portal near the end takes you safely to another cave a short distance from the Springs.

Thankyou for the help. I've completed the quests, and I'm now in eastern la noscea for the next quests, as well as the final ACN quest

That's a doozy. Gear up first. Keeping Ishtola up can be a pain.
