I had some ideas for the game, some fun, some to possibly address problems. I understand however that everyone's tastes vary, and wanted to see what everyone here on the forums thought.
Upgradeable AF Gear
One of the complaints regarding AF gear (the level 45 and 50 job gears) is that once you hit 50 and started the post story content, it was largely useless. With the introduction of Augments to allow for dyes to be used with the AF Gear, many were disappointed that it changed the stats of the item in no way. Soldiery gear however, was upgradeable. Much like the relics are upgradeable continually throughout the game, the Artifact gear could be upgraded as well. The only problems I'm currently seeing with this, is would it be worth the grind? Would people be too tired of seeing the same AF gear running around again? AF 2 is suspected to be a reward for new job classes in a later update. Perhaps the AF 2 Could be upgradable?
Race Quests and New Race Armor/Clothing
When you dig deeper into the lore of the game, it really is good. Eorzea is a larger world than some players really know and some may never notice the finer details. As a Hellsgaurd, I feel that a lot of the lore surrounding my people is scarce or not well explained. I propose a string of quests, possibly new dailies, that are race specific. Quests for Roegadyns, quests for Hyurs, etc...doing these could open up new items or even possibly new race specific clothing or armor much like you started the game with. The closest to it that we have that would be a second race specific set is the hempen underwear. These quests could give players more background into their respective races and give some of us lore hungry people some more. Problems with this though....Many want all the content accessible to them. So some playing as Hyurs will complain that they can't get everything the Lalafell would get. Perhaps a fix for this could be an NPC that could give other races bits of lore information so they don't feel left out? Should we not do that and leave it race specific at all?
Lore Library Accessible In-Game
I posted a thread about this and though only recieving a handful of responses, all we positive. I suggest and accessible library in game where we can reference lore items, such as Uldah, its history, Characters and backstories, More information about 1.0 storyline and lore since we can no longer revisit that. Some other games have this, and those that do, give the sense that the world is far larger than the player can physically visit, and leaves much to the imagination for future content. It would also serve as a good resource for Roleplayers who are found on some of the servers in the game. I currently do not see any issues this would cause if it were added.
Roleplayer Icon and Mentor Icon
We recently had a leaf sprout status icon added to the game to indicate new players. Interest has been shown already in a Roleplaying Icon to let other players know that they are In-Character and seeking roleplay. Another I have seen people request is a Mentor Icon, indicating that they would be willing to help players new to the game or who need help with content. Some of the introduction content in the game could be confusing, or players may feel overwhelmed with all this information they are getting, while being thrown into a populated world full of distractions. Mentors could easily help with that, and an Icon directing new players to a Mentor could help them figure out the game. I also do not see any problems with this. Your thoughts?
Duels
Maybe you're a roleplayer...or maybe you are arguing with your friend about an FC managing related issue. Maybe they are just a jerk. Challenge them to a duel! Players could send a dual request throught the right click context menu and they can now damage eachother. Fight until one is defeated, and the defeated player could revive afterwards right at the same spot they started the dual. Quick fun instead of having to instance into an Arena, or queue for wolves den or frontlines for pvp.
Actually I think the mannequin thing was happening? I am not really sure, though I like it. I would also like to see the Armoire and possibly the crystal bells added to the housing. I LOVED the moonfire faire housing decorations. Really would like to see them do this for other holiday events.Quote:

Housing
As an RPer, I am always excited to see new housing items. I would like to see a mannequin housing item that can display armor I equip to it, like the decorations in the weaving guild in Ul'dah. Then I could display some of my old gear-sets. -

As someone who loves Lore, I think the race daily quests should be open to all races in order to foster a more accepting attitude between the races. Making them only race specific goes against the tone of the game of cooperation between the peoples. Even the Beast Tribe quests have this tone, which is great. They could make the race armour available to all races to allow more armour customization with glamours. For the role players it would be great.. such as an itty bitty Lala loved the Roe culture so much that he/she adopted it! :)
I also love the idea of the Lore Library. There really should be a historical society where you can look up the past historical events of the game. It would really give more depth to the world. -
