Hello,
since the last patch im not even able to start the game.
The launcher works just fine, the game doesnt.
i thought it might be sweetfx. so i got rid of all files. Still the same.
(the game is not working anymore).
I read about soundcard issues where you have to lower your Hz output,
also didnt work.
I hope it will get fixed soon, the instabiliy issues, DC issues and lag issues seem to increase more and more. It's a joke for a the ff-brand to have so many problems.
Have you tried submitting a bug report? More likely they can help you out more if you post it there with the correct bug format ie system specs and such. Anyways good luck hope you get it figured out.
It helps if you describe the problem. Saying it isn't working is NOT giving much information. Is it throwing an error code? Is it just crashing to desktop when you click PLAY? Depending on the degree of "Not Working" the problem could be any number of things.
the problem is that there is no error code or anything. It started after the last update, i just get the "programm not working anymore" standard message from windows. (after i press "play" on the launcher)
I didnt change anything on my PC and was able to run ARR just fine. No other games are affected.
There's really no way to know what's causing your problem without being able to look at your pc. With what little info you're able to give, I'd say just uninstall and re download the client then update. It's really not troublesome at all. I've done it more than once and it takes less than 1hr.
post the information from the System information screen in the launcher (under Config).
To help figure it out, next time it crashes open the Run dialog afterwards and type in Event Viewer. Look under the Windows Log<Application Log and look for a critical error from FFXIV. Post the details here or Google the Event ID and source code of the error.
i copied all the information to the SE support. Im still waiting for an answer.
Im no redownloading everything - its weird that this client doesnt have an file integrity check, like many games have (not really surprised though lol).
now im waiting.
