Stats question
I'm a 24 archer at the moment, with str, vit and dex pumped. But I've been wanting to try out the casting classes, but I don't really want to re-allocate all my points into the caster stats, how much of a disadvantage will I be at if I don't? Will I be supergimpy, or just slightly below?

Stats don't currently have that dramatic an effect, so you should be able to cure almost as effectively with a low MND stat as a normal one. Your VIT will keep you alive longer as you level casting classes as well. In addition, some CON abilities are must-haves at higher ranks. Almost everyone going through the R50 dungeon has Raise and Cure II equipped for emergencies, and spells like Cure, Sacrifice, Shock Spikes, and Stygian Spikes will make soloing easier in general.

Ah, many thanks. I'll raise up my caster then. :P

Leveling a mage class has other benefits as well. For example, if you get one to 36 (and do the class quests) you unlock access to Guild Mark abilities that will highly benefit your melee classes. Stuff that converts 5, or 10 of a mage stat into the same of a melee stat, and those two stack for a total of 15.

Yes that's another good point. I am eventually getting my GLA to 36 so I can have Muscle Memory 2. It's more efficient to take 15 of my STR, which only costs 1 or 2 bonus points, and get the same amount of INT, which costs me 4 bonus points.
