What to do with a dead FC house?

I am the leader and only active member of a dead friend company that has a small house on Gilgamesh. I would like to leave and join a new FC, but is there anything I can do with the house to make it not a total waste?

Sell the current fc to someone if you can.
Transfering control of a fc+house is an enforceble transaction as long as the conditions are typed out in the chat logs of involved parties so it is GM discoverable and enforcable.

Best practice is to find someone you and the buyer trust to make an alt to hold the fc and currency of choice and handle the transfer. This is also a good idea to do if they just want the plot relinquisehed so they can convert it to personal housing.

In the meantime i would suggest making an alt and transfering control to it so you can move to a new fc on your current caracter at your leasure.

Well, you can do two things.

One: You can actively recruit a new player base and build from scratch. Just pull yourself up by your bootstraps and work hard for it.

Two: If that's not an option... then clean out the house, NPC all the assets (for whatever little you can get for them) or if you have a high enough skill, desynth them. Then relinquish the house/plot, cry yourself to sleep and move on :(

Sorry to hear about the death of your free company...

If you want to keep the plot to use as your own personal house, make sure to buy it as soon as you relinquish it. If you keep most of the furniture you can use it again for your Personal house (but you will lose the unique furniture like the primal items). But the Plot and the Estate Permit are both Sunk cost, can't really recover them.

Thank you all for the responses, they have been very helpful! I was going to transfer it to an alt for the mean time at least, but I have an entry subscription which apparently only lets you have one character per server. If I wanted to try selling the whole FC how would I best find a buyer?
