Seems we have an answer on the 'lore' vs. 'new player friendly' NIN option ^^

After posting various threads about if Ninja would be locked behind the main story quest, and reading/writing on the pros and cons of both, it seems we have an answer:

Seems the rogue quests go up to level 30, just like normal, and the NIN quests take over after that up until level 50. So, it seems the rogue and ninja will operate the exact same as every other class/job combo. Is anyone disappointed with this, or are you happy it is available to everyone including new players? Personally it doesn't matter to me much but I'm glad the game is very inclusive of new players ^^

I'm just mildly bothered by the Ninja trainer's face. He looks like he wouldn't even laugh at the funniest thing in the world :(

Ninjas tend to be cold blooded assassins, that is actually quite understandable

And @Cutie ^^ Actually, reading through one of my old threads on the subject, it seems it would be an unwelcome surprise to many who wanted it gated // interesting how much discussion and debate there was.

This isn't news at all for those who weren't blinded by their own egos. Lick those wounds, elitists, you knew this was how it was going to be.

a while back it was mentioned that rogue couldn't be selected as a starting class, and that you'd need to be at least lvl 10 to unlock it. That's as far as SE is willing to gate rog/nin.

Well if it's gated behind level 10, that'd at least be understandeable/acceptable. I mean it's not that hard to get to lvl 10, gives a rookie some time to understand mechanics before taking on the new class.
