Alternate Title: I got my chat winodows within 99% of where I want it, but...

Is there a chance we could get an 'Ask the Dev' post on what each specific chat toggle does?

I know some of these are blindingly obvious such as "Enfeebling effects on X" or "Synthesis results by Y"

But some are a bit more cryptic or esoteric.

For example, what do I enable to see messages on how 'tasty' a food was? I've got it so it tells me I am well fed, that I ate something, but can't get THAT message in its own separate window.

With the coming update on logs, any chance we could get an update on the lodestone or a Ask the Devs to help the more adventurous tweakers of their chat logs?

It's a bit tedious, but for now you can check by eating something that you know will tell you the message you want, then toggle each filter until it shows up in your chat log. Also remember that if certain conditions aren't met for the food, it won't tell you how it tastes and just says that you're well fed.

That was an example I gave rather than the entire point of the post.

I brought it up as an example of yet another 30 minutes of trying to get something to appear in a non-primary window off the default settings.

Fun as it was, something other than cryptic titles would be helpful. An info update with more specific details for those who would benefit from this functionality but don't have the time would be awesome.

Did you try the not-so-obvious filters like System message? I remember there were a few types of messages that were part of filters it didn't seem to fit.

Look, no offense and I appreciate your effort, but I'm not asking for help configuring my logs. I'm asking for a dev post on what the logs do in detail so we can cut the trial and error malarky and keep it to actual game play.

I don't want to come back to the forums again in the future because I find I'm missing Incap notices (which I am and continue to still be missing in my dedicated combat log window despite spending a whole night messing with it camping Ol' 6 Arms) when a Dev could get us a write up so we can know exactly what we are or are not disabling.
