Perma heavy in Eorzea
Can we please, please, please introduce some immunity or diminishing return for the effect "Heavy" that mobs throw at us?
Riding through the mines in Outer La N or the woods in the East Shroud or wherever else and getting perma heavy makes me want to strangle a puppy.
You get hit by a 20 sec debuff, ride on, get hit again which resets the debuff to 20 sec again, and again, and again, and again....the best thing is really when it already counted down to 3 sec and WHAMM there it is again >.>
There might be people who actually enjoy it....can't say I am one of them though. So, how about it? I not whining for it to be completely removed but a diminishing return would only be fair.
With hunting being so popular nowadays, I suppose that more people have had the pleasure of experiencing this.

Heavy isn't just a skill. Heavy is a skill chain/combo.
It goes something like this: Heavy / Heavy / Heavy / Heavy / Heavy / Heavy / Heavy / Heavy
*97 pages later*
.....Heavy / Heavy / Heavy
This is a complex combination of moves that is passed down by the great beastman Gods and to take it away would be to deny their faith sadly.... :(

Try and run behind mobs instead of just tearing through aggroing everything.
Also on DRG "Elusive Jump" sheds the heavy effect so this might work for other hate shedding abilities. I dismount > face the mob > elusive jump away from it > remount.
-
It only happen if you get hit in the back while mounted.
But the devs could change it back to how it was in 1.0, so only the mount get heavy and not the player.

Just wondering. Is it possible to reduce the timer of heavy with Chocobo Down Materia?

Heavy. atma. east shroud. suicide.

Want to get rid of "Heavy" debuff ? Easy.Unplug your internet cable then log in again, there ! You're good to go !

Just get off your chocobo and run through those areas. Or dodge aggro instead of mindlessly running. There are ways to avoid heavy if you aren't lazy. Besides, heavy is hardly a punishment for catching aggro. It's annoying, but it ultimately amounts to nothing.
-
Tempered Will from PLD also gets rid of it in addition to the Elusive Jump already mentioned.
I agree it is kind of annoying, but I very rarely get it put on me over and over as the OP states. As has already been said, if you at least make an attempt to run behind mobs that aggro to sight then you will deal with it a lot less.

...Except when the developers intentionally put the field of vision of the enemies in directions other than where they are facing (looking at you Natalan gate guards =_=). Esuna also cures Heavy, which doesn't help much since any of those abilities can only be used while dismounted and you can not remount while under attack.
I don't mind that Heavy is there. I understand what it's there for but, I for one would just like for the rules of this game to be consistent. If heavy in any other situation has diminishing returns, then so should it be while on mounts.
