Pirate or Imperial Attacks on Airships or Barges

Spice up our lives. Have a safe zone be the 1st place you spawn in when traveling by Airship or Barge, but give us the option to participate in the defense of the Airships and Barges we travel on.

Otherwise there is no benefit to traveling by Airship or Barge and doing so is simply a time-shink for those with too little Anima to teleport.

When an attack happens it delays your arrival at your destination so players interested in getting to their destination must aid in the defense. Throw some NPCs on the ships to help and raise fallen players. A combination of the pirate attacks on the fairy between Selbina and Mhaura and Campaign.

I would like to expand on this idea though.

It would be really cool to actually see a ship or an airship approaching and have mobs hijack the players' barge and airship.
instead of just an instant pop of mobs. I'd like it to be more realistic and engaging.
I imagine it would be a rather cool and thrilling experience to see them approaching from far away. Builds anticipation and hype!
