Yeah I thought that too! It's a blatant ripoff of FFXIV ARR's Opening Movie. its pretty insulting they would rip that off as well since it holds a lot of meaning to FFXIV players from 1.0.
Bahamut himself in the anime even looks like our bahamut, same design and everything, like they opened up FFXIV's art book and drew it line for line.
But then again Rage of Bahamut (which Shingeki no Bahamut is based on) seems to like copying Final Fantasy.
wow is all I have to say.
Rage of Bahamut is actually a mobile game that is quite popular in Japan.
Now I can't say they are not a rip-off, as they are in another way with your money. However, they do have some originality with the stories (events) and their gameplay. I played it myself, under the same name, and it took up a lot of my time and money. I would say it really an MMO for your mobile device. The content itself is a bunch of cards based on anything and everything that is Legend or Mythology. It does have a lot of Final Fantasy like figures, but figures like Bahamut and Odin are not originally from Final Fantasy. I can say that it doesn't have figures like chocobo or cactuar, but does have their own Cait Sith
In regards to the game itself, it pretty cool.
Also, the third beast fighting Bahamut was Satan.
Can't find the show anywhere but I just watched a preview of it on youtube and yeah. lol total copy and paste from some scene's. But I also got some Attack on Titan vibes too with the giants, walls, the way the camera flies down alleyways and the design of the town.
Yeahhhhh that was lame. Obvious rip off but not even that good of a rip off.
Are they really copying though? SE doesn't have a patent on mythological creatures. And how many ways are there to draw a BMF dragon?
I just went and watched it... Eh.... not much of a rip off beyond Bahamut floating in the center of an area, throwing beams at an Army. Oh and breaking chains.... lol.. beyond that.. not much else.
