dislike button is in the spirit of negativity. If you dislike something you should have to explain it in a constructive way rather then just hitting a button.
While you're at it, offer a real poll feature so people don't try to get extra Like's by posting a pseudo-poll. (Like my post if you agree! Lol!) ;-)
You know some people are doing that for gold medals.
I posted this somewhere else I don't think having Dislike button for the community is a good idea as it can be abused looking at how some of the forum thread in here, but I would like to have a Dislike button on the Rep/Dev's responses as it only allows you to press the Like on those it really doesn't show how many people didn't like the idea, and at same some are lazy to post reason why they dislike it.
Say 40-50 people liked the reps response but actually 70 people didn't like it? I don't think all 70 will post their reason why they didn't like and at same time no one will count every post after to see how many people actually disliked the idea.
So I say NO to dislike button for the regular community posts, but YES to dislike button for Dev/Rep posts.
Or at least have a poll feature... for us or something.
It would be abused more than being helpful. I vote no.
I actually use the Like button for posts that are constructive to the community. I do not use it as a popularity contest.
