This is my understanding. Kinda an epic fail. Maybe useful to really large FCs with a lot of junior crafters and where the senior crafters can foot the bill for the stations. But hard to see its appeal beyond that. I'd like to see crafting stations targeted at master crafters, maybe even meldable ones so you can customise it...
It seems to me that SE has a special group thinking on how to reduce housing usability. I know only 3 indoor and 3 outdor functional housing items - company chest, summoning bell, npc, garden plots, stables, striking dummy. All the other items are unusable or strange - like facilities.
Ps in real world enthusiasts uses dinner tables to work, professionals has workplaces. Here this is not so.
You guys look to much into the description. They are housing furniture with "bonus" effect (useless bonus)
^ This! Start looking at these crafting stations as vanity items and all of a sudden it will make sence! Vanity with an additional bonus
I'm just disappointed that there's no special animation for crafting near them.
I was hoping to be able to cook while standing at the stove like the people in the culnarians guild do.
They seemed like such a great idea until you see how useless the bonus is. There would actually be demand for these if they let lvl 50s have the bonus too.
INB4 "OMG they shouldn't screw over everyone that doesn't have a house!"
Spending money on certain things should give benefits. Just like spending money on over melds gives better crafting results/advantages, spending money on a crafting facility should give benefits as well. Crafting is an economic game, having more money will always give more advantages.
It's more the "limited housing" aspect than the "money" aspect.
