Animated zone entrance areas are causing my FPS to drop, like the animated walls behind bosses and the entrances like at fallgourd float to 2nd coil. Quite annoying in coil trying to fight when there are one of these walls behind every boss.

This appears to be an SLI issue. Disabling SLI keeps the FPS at a constant, albeit still lower than LSI, instead of 115-120 FPS I get 70-85 at 1440p. I'll be playing around with nVidia inspector later to see if I can get SLI to work correctly, might be the bits or other configuration options.

Borderless windowed mode is also kind of bad since the game doesn't have exclusive use of the GPU for rendering. All of the 2D elements of your operating system are also fighting for GPU resources. It might be contributing to your FPS dips.

I won't use full screen since I am on multiple monitors, the FPS difference between the two is minimal. 5-10 drop at the most. The SLI screenshots of 115 fps is in borderless windowed.
IF they could get fullscreen to work without having to spend 10 seconds of monitor flashing when I want to access an application on one of my 3 other monitors then I would use it. As any one has a multiple monitor set up will tell you, having to alt-tab out of the game just to hit a browser is a pain in the ass. Borderless windows allows you to not have to do that.
