I want to transfer!!!

I am looking to transfer from the Balmug server to a non-rp server. I am looking for a friendly bunch of people where everyone seems to get along for the most part and are accepting, social, and helpful towards new comers. Is there such a server? If so can you please point me to the direction of that server. I am open to any suggestions!

Suggest taking a looksy in the community threads and see whose doing what, and just because it has most post or something don't mean its the best....ok so leviathan is pretty decent though...there I said it.

I am sure there is a couple other heavy pop decent servers as well...but I will stand by leviathan and say were a good bunch mostly.

May I ask what you dislike about Balmung? Do you just want to get away from an RP server, is it too populated, etc?

Your best bet is to just do what I did like a week ago. Visit any server your curious about and see for yourself for a couple days on that server. You can get a good idea of that servers community acceptance just by being around not even at 50. Balmung won't be beat in terms of diversity and possible groups of friendly people due to just the sheer amount of people on it, but the exact opposite can be said about it too for the same reason. I'd like to also note that typically the "RPers" while odd in some peoples eyes, are usually the most friendly.

From my experiences of visiting about 6 or so different servers (I was attempting for 'high-population' at the time), only Balmung, Ultros, and my own Brynhildr had people try to welcome me to the game and friend me (not just a ghost invite). Other places like Siren, were surprisingly empty or like Leviathan/Excalibur, no one really cared - which isn't a bad thing but not exactly social. All places had problems with hunts, so no getting away from that, though the markets are vastly different in some.

Even after explaining all my experiences though doesn't change a thing if you try for yourself and meet that one person I didn't, who was extra attentive and welcoming on some server with a good FC.

Sounds like our FC. Though unlike a lot of other FCs we don't blind invite people. We do help out random players, nivite them etc... be them new or old.

I consider myself pretty antisocial ingame (don't join TS, not to talkative in FC chat, etc) but even I was able to meet and befriend some friendly and fun people on Ultros. Ultros appears to be a pretty happy-medium from my expierence, some hardcore players, a lot of casuals, your funny light-heated people, etc. Hunts aren't too bad either depending on the time of day. I recommend it.

I hope you find what you're looking for there's bs on every server you just have to plant your roots and blossom! :)

Oddly enough, the most chatty person I met while exploring the servers was on Ultros. No doubt could be a decent server in terms of sociability (wonder if the comic relief namesake has any bearing on that lol), but the part that kept me from considering it as a possible main server was the market. Listed as a top tier housing cost yet the market prices on typically popular items were all low/skewed, materia aside as those sell well on any server.
