Windows Threshold / 10 / Technical Preview information

Hi All,

Just to let you all know, FFXIV *DOES* work on Windows 10. There were a few small issues, so thought I would let you know how I solved it.

I have an Nvidia Optimus laptop, so I needed to a) force the game to use the NVIDIA card, not the Intel.

b) Update the Graphics Drivers (using 344.11)

c) Reset FFXIV back to default settings (using the convinent button in the launcher)

This allowed the game to start.

Um, ARR doesn't use Crystal Tools, they ditched that for ARR and it uses it's own engine now.

Oh wow, I thought it was some custom crystal build with luminous pieces thrown in. Interesting!

Nope, they built their own engine because the limitations of CT were just too much, but they did throw some luminous parts in.

Also I fixed my problems, slight driver issue, but all fixed now :)
