Crafting queston

Hello,

I'm new to these forums in terms of posts so I'll try to make this brief.

Do you need to be fully melded, or close to, to have enough stats for 3 star crafts or do you need food? I have 5 classes with artisan tools and so I haven't focused on melding one specific class , but it seems I'm always short control on 3 star stuff.

they require pretty much the best crafting gear you can make with optimal melds + food. Control specifically needs a lot of melds, but you don't necessarily need to be "fully melded" you just have to cap out how high you can meld Control/Craftsmanship for each item (or at least get close to it). I believe any lv70 items you get for your crafter can't be melded, so you don't have to worry about those pieces.

I guess what I'm saying is, can you have 391 craftsmanship and 374 control without using food?

yes, 391 and 374 can make an hq 3 star item. Use Cp food is the best way to make it work. My stats are around 400 craft, 385 control, 352 base Cp, with food comes to 395. I need the starting quality to be around 800 or higher to hq a 3 star almost every time. There is a rotation thread in DoH area that has some useful rotations for different 1, 2 and 3 star crafts. They are good or you can make your own if you see an area that can be improved.

If you have the minimum stats (inculding food), you can still HQ them, but you'll need to be using some HQ mats and have a starting quality of around 1000-1500.

It would be better to already have the minimum stats (and capped CP) and use CP food, meaning you can HQ easily without HQ mats.
