Japanese PvP is awesome

Hi guys. I just transfered to the japanese Kujata server some hours ago. And did it because i have to work at night for a while and cant play online during european peak times. And you know you can only play frontlines on peak times. I did try it over the last days to play on non-peak times, but i just got a awesome queue of 550 minutes without any pop. So i decided to move over to Kujata for a while.


Game says me the average queue time for frontlines is actually just 10 mins. Hell thats awesome. On my old server phoenix the average time was always on 30 min+

One other thing i noticed is, that the overall communication on japanese pvp is much more friendly and not full of harassment as it is in NA/EU nowadays. Even if your alliance loose they still saying things like "Thanks. Was nice to play with you"(...)

And they know how to play. It is a big big difference to NA/EU aswell. You dont have ignorant people and everyone knows what to do. And healers are everywhere.

i've been strongly tempted to transfer to JP servers rather than cancelling my sub, but my concern is just possible lag. did you have any of that? i suppose i could try it out for myself.

Yes, i do have a bit more lag there. But its not a game breaker or something. Can still play pretty good.

Is the metagame any different there? Are there any other huge differences you've noticed?? Also thanks for making this post, it's cool to see how the other side lives. I forget that there's another community out there playing the same game probably having similar discussions in japanese.

Do a lot of people on the Japanese servers speak English as well? It'd be awesome to be on a server of people who do Frontlines regularly and are friendly and kind.

Japanese community are friendly and polite.
Try to play a class that you're not good at, tank or healer and join duty roulette, they won't say anything or vote kick even if you've done a terrible job.
They still greet you in the end of the battle. They're gentlemen.

Believe me, I don't speak well in JP either, and I don't even have static or FC, but I cleared all contents included T9 for every week, all extreme primal via the party finder with them.
They're highly intelligent, very effective in teamwork.

And you won't have any RMT tells or friend request, I don't remember since when last time I saw RMT advertising in game.

This is my own personal experience party with them and play in JP server since FFXIV 1.0.
