Item Loss Issue - And "Working as Intended" literally screwing your players over.
Hey SE,
So. I recently discovered by way of really terrible game mechanics and coding that you can trade in Bonded/Melded items for quest turn ins.
This is hands down retarded.
I had made an HQ Raptorskin Choker for Leather Quest Turn in, and happened to have an extra one in inventory that was Bonded and Double Melded for mining. (Gathering and Percept +3 if any of your staff actually gives a flying monkey pile of dung to help me in replacing that item. (Hold on, double parenthesis incoming for a HUGE LOL.))
Now, every time you turn in an HQ a little box pops up that says "Are you sure you want to trade in an HQ Item?" Well, this box gets spammed a LOT especially as I had been doing Leves and quests all day that REQUIRE HQ items.
So, for BONDED and MELDED items, a very similar box pops up. One that looks nearly identical except one word.
Yes, obviously as your player base I should have slowed down time and read so very very carefully, but really, the fact that it was even an OPTION to turn in a bonded and melded item is stupid. I mean, shitake mushrooms after being eaten and squeezed out through your gaping anus, at least add a check mark box to it or something.
What's even more retarded is that your customer support couldn't do anything because it was a melded item. So, you give us the option to screw up (because hey, we're human!) and no option to recover from this.
That's dumb, Square Enix. And after playing your games for many, many years, I have no idea what brought me to think anything you ever gave me was not retarded. I have dealt with your terrible customer support and GMs for years only to think maybe this time it'd be different.
Abusers don't change. Thanks for wasting my time, your time, my real money, my in game money, and my damn sanity.
