Fate spawn rates.

Atma books, for example Enmity of my enemy, I know you have to do a fate before this as well but, the issue I'm raising is what's the point in doing this.... I understand with the atma, helping new players complete them and all, but standing around for 2 hours (so far) waiting for this fate to show up is tedious and nobody is gaining from it, same with any other fates the books asks you to take part in and complete at least have some sort of respawn rate set in stone because currently I'm standing around waiting for a fate to show which has no guarantee of showing. As it currently stands I'm paying square Enix every month for me to stand around hoping that a fate shows up, I'd like to hear people's opinions, but if you've already completed all the task books for your weapon please give an honest opinion and not just brush it off because it doesn't effect you :L

FYI. If you do other fates in the area, it'll increase the rate other fates spawn. So yes if you are just standing there doing nothing it's gonna take a long time to pop.

That's what I'm doing, but with that in mind it still has a low unpredictable spawn rate, I've done enough random fates for the Atma stones :L

I have to laugh, not at your situation, but because I was in Urth's Gift on Siren yesterday doing the proverbial Spirit Bonding thing. As I pounded on the heads of numerous boars (did they take this from the Make Love, Not Warcraft episode of South Park?) the giant boar fate (forget the name at the moment) seemed to appear every 3rd or 4th cycle! When I had sat and waited for it to pop for my animus book or daily (can't remember which) and no one was spirit bonding in the area, it easily took an hour! This time, it was just a nuisance, so it popped all the time! I have yet to test this theory with a fate like "Breaking Dawn", but I wonder if spirit bonding while killing Sylphs (I hate those little cabbage patch <f word inserted here>ers!) would yield similar results.

The boar FATE is just one of the quite regularly spawning ones. No mystery about it. It normally takes less than 10 minutes to reappear. I wish all FATES would be like this. Oh no wait, what I really wish for is that FATES go back to how they were when 2. 0 was released.

An option for leveling or for receiving Grand company coins instead of being mandatory RNG roadblocks for ATMAS, Animus books or “daily” hunt objectives. Making FATES mandatory without redesigning their spawn rate was and is one of the biggest design flaws for me in this Game.

And most probably one of the hot topics for the community with very little to no response from the developpers. It is beyond me why all the complaints do not reach them or if they reach them, go under without a reaction.

I had the same thing happen with Air Supply yesterday in North Shroud. Again, it might be coincidental, but here I was killing Ixals to spirit bond and that fate pops about every cycle to cycle and a half! Again, this might be one that spawns all the time. Maybe a little test spriit bonding in Coerthas where Seps appears is in order.

So I've been plugging away in Fogens for 3 hours now, trying to get Black and Nburu to spawn. No luck.
Why is content tied to low-frequency FATEs, anyway? Dumbest idea ever.

Edit: Of course, it spawns just after I post, and there must have been 20 people on the last one, because I can barely put a dent in the health bar.

And one more thing: if the devs could stop tying content to fates that have a 4 hour respawn time, that'd be great. Animus books and daily marks to be specific.

Let's face it - there is one basic currency in any MMO: time. Everything else is derived from it. When a game is poorly designed and wastes it (as in, I need to camp semi-afk, or mindlessly farm, while I wait for a pop), the players get frustrated and angry. Bad for business. I'm seriously considering turfing this game because of BS like this.

Make something we can rattle off while waiting for the roulette queue (if you're DPS).
