You don't know how to make meaningful solo content, please stop trying.
Soloing is pointless in this game, there is literally no reward, so why even bother trying to focus on it SE? You clearly don't know how to make any sort of worthwhile solo content and this is completely destroying party content. To all of you skeptics out there saying that this just isn't the case hear me out.
I know that in the last patch they made leves to primarily focus on solo play, but the only problem is they are damn near worthless without cranking them up to 3 or 4 stars. The only problem is, you didn't seem to take into account that 90% of the player base can't freaking do that because they don't have their sub jobs for abilities leveled high enough to even do them or they aren't on the right job. This makes them damn near worthless because you only get around 30k every other day from leves without cranking up the difficulty. This would mean that it would take around a week to go from 48-49 and 49-50. alone. That is just unnacceptable, and this is where the solo players problems bleed out into the people who actually want to play with other people.
THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH MOBS TO GO AROUND. plain and simple. If there is a party in an area you can simply forget about getting any sort of semblance of decent sp per hour.
Leveling from 30-40 has been completely destroyed with the last patch. I know everyone is raving about the young raptor camp from 30-40 now but in all honesty, these areas can only support about one party in each level range. If you have any more than that you will be completely destroying any hope of anyone getting more than 15k an hour, and unfortunately, this is where all the higher level solo players are turning to get their sp now because there honestly isn't anything else that gives decent SP anymore. Hell, last night someone soloing mobs destroyed our sp, neither the solo person nor my party broke more than 15k an hour because of this. This has been an issue in the upper raptor party as well
And the funny thing is, Yoshida seems to know of this problem yet for whatever stupid reason they decided to plop an encampment right in one of the best party areas in the game for the low to mid 30s and completely obliterate the mob count destroying any hopes of even partying there.
The only way I can honestly think of them getting rid of this problem is adding an SP bonus to parties and make mobs that give any sort of decent sp impossible to kill solo and slow to kill for parties, and then increasing the bonus sp you get at the end of leves to make them worthwhile so you don't lose your solo player base. If you can't resolve this problem SE then youre going to completely destroy your game, because when "everyone playing the game how they want" mixes in with others, and makes it so its impossible of either of them to play it how they want its going to make people not want to play at all.
