DET and its purpose of me being a SCH ?

I know it boost damage and heals but really by how much I'm currently re-working my BiS SCH right now

Animus

Daystar for all of my left side armor

DayStar Neck
HA Ears
HA Braclet
Judgment Ring Of Healing
Daystar ring

I Know all of these are BiS except the animus and the daystar neck
but I like the spell speed and the pie with it ....for endgame and 2.4 purposes how important is the DET I think I have a pretty good build maybe around 260-280 cant rememeber but should it be higher or is that fine for T6-T9 and future endeavors

Supposedly 1 MND = 3-7 DET, depending on which source you read. Maybe some of the mathcrafters can come in and explain how that works.

In general, DET is just an all-purpose stat; you can't go wrong with stacking it on any job. If you're looking to boost your DPS, DET/CRIT is the way to go (and ACC if you're not at cap, of course). If you're more interested in the healing aspect, do whatever you want because none of the secondary stats matter enough to make a difference. Keep weapon damage and mind at appropriate levels and you can heal anything (and yes, you can heal T6-9 with your gear; I solo heal most of it with worse gear).

I'm trying to find the true DET= MND formula also .......hmmm someone should answer that in this post...

I like the DPS aspect of DET , but I dont DPS as much as I should as SCH , mind me asking what endgame content do you truly dps as a SCH. Some of the harder fights 6-9 I might do a bio and misma rotation but thats about it as the tanks are constantly getting cleaved for 3-5k at a time.

I know the data is pretty old, though I think it is still correct, but you could check valk for that info.

From what the formulae on there suggest, DET ranges in value from 3.67 DET=1 MND to 8.80 DET =1 MND depending upon your weapon's magic damage (it'll be much closer to 8.80 DET = 1 MND because of how it scales). However, that is for THM, not SCH, so you can expect it to be slightly different, up to in the realm of 5%. These are about the same as the numbers Lyrinn gave.

It should be noted though, with how Adloquium works, it is generally accepted that SCH works best by stacking as much Crit rate as you can get instead of Determination.

Your gear is definitely fine for coil.

Speaking from a WHM perspective, I would view determination as being the most desirable secondary stat, more healing is always good. Once content is farmable you may want to play with accuracy?
Piety is a largely wasted stat, I never run OOM and at the end of the day, leftover mana is wasted stat. Spell speed just means spending more mana for the same result and is, IMO, a dead stat (having quicker GCD's is good but you need SO much speed for that, it's pretty irrelevant). I remember reading way back when stat weights were originally still being fathomed out that healing per mana and healing per GCD is optimised with determination.

Have you thought about crit? I know from the scholar that I static with that crit is nice for big shields and could help mitigate the spikey damage incoming and allow for more DPS to be pushed out.

My Crit build is nice...522-525...My build is always Crit > Det > SS > Pie for SCH, but I base that DET solely off what everyone tells me and not knowing in reality the benefit of it.

I passed the HA Neck last week and the party was raging stating that I would have had all BiS. I was fine with my i110 daystar and the other healer needed it (i90) myth neck so I passed.

The HA Neck swaps the pie for DET and that is all or I think its DET for SS but either way I was telling everyone to calm it as it was only a +8 or so DET ....But I guess more heals from what everyone is telling me I need that Neck now : (

DPSing in Coil is wholly dependent on your co-healer. If either you or your WHM are not comfortable with you DPSing, then your windows to do so drastically shrink. With that said, there are plenty of places you can sneak some DoTs in.

T6: All of phase 1 since there's very little damage going out. If your other healer can't handle this phase alone, I don't have anything good to say. Phase 2, you can DoT right before Blighted Bouquet and let your fairy heal people up while it's casting.
T7: Basically any time the adds aren't up.
T8: Pretty much the whole fight if your WHM is competent, just use Rouse + Whispering Dawn (if you have Eos out) on Defensive explosions and Lustrate MT if needed. Adlo on Brainjack/Allagan Field as needed.
T9: You can DPS for most of phase 1. All you have to worry about is Adlo before Ravensbeak. Golem phase you can DPS the whole time. Phase 3 you can DoT after Heavensfall and then Bane onto the add. Phase 4, you can DPS outside of Bahamut's Claws.

Again, all that depends on your co-healer.

Also, your DPS "rotation" primarily consists of Shadowflare, Bio II, Bio, and Ruin (II) spam. You can Miasma if your accuracy is high enough. Neither Bios nor Shadowflare can miss which is why you apply them first.

This is good to know, I've been dpsing in T9 to help with Golems and I noticed a few of my actions not hitting.
