free company help

its time to ask the community about this...

i have gotten a few invites to free companies, but it appears that it is greyed out in my social menu. why, but before you answer i have some more info.

i don't think i am on a trial of the game, i purchased it from amazon. it is NOT the digital deluxe edition.
i am on day 3 of my 30 days that came with my purchase.
i am at level 10 at the time of this post questing in jadite thick of the central shroud.
all conjer quests up to my level complete and no open quest are avalable in new gridania

this game is getting boring always being solo, anyone have any idea how i unlock the fc?

The Free Company section of the social menu is for the FC you've joined (or submitted an application to). It's grayed out because you haven't joined or submitted an application to one, so there's nothing there.

To accept an invite, click on the little oval that appears in the bottom right of the screen when you get an invite. A window will pop up with buttons to accept or decline. If you're using a gamepad, press select or trackpad until that oval has the pointer cursor on it, then press X/confirm to get the accept/decline window.

There is no unlock requirement your just trying to access something that you don't have access to.

If you are playing on a PS3 press select to scroll through the HUD with the cursor then click on the free company invite that should appear on the right side of the screen and accept the invite.

If you are playing on a PS4 use the touch pad for the virtual mouse and click on the invite. Or you may be able to get another virtual mouse by pressing L1 and options.

Then you will be able to select Free Company from the main menu as you are now in a free company.

What happens when you click the invitation notification oval?

Are you not getting the accept/decline window at all? Or is the accept button grayed out on that window? Or are you getting some kind of error when you click the accept button?

i dont recall exactly and i dont have any active invites,

something you said did spark a thought though, where abouts do i go and put applications for fcs in, i have only recived invites

Right-click on someone whose FC you want to join (either their 3D model, or their name in a player search result), and select "View Company Profile." There should be a Submit Application button on the FC profile window.
