It would be nice if alongside Log Out, which takes you back to the character selection screen, there was an option to just shut the game down entirely.

When I am trying to shut the game down it takes a lot longer than it really should to log out to the character select screen, then to exit to the opening window... then to exit the game.

It's a pretty minor thing, granted... But it would be very convenient.

I agree. If you try and just close out the window FFXIV gets angry and tells you it's going to probably lose data. It's like a threat!

I would be sooo happy if this were in the game. I usually Alt+F4 if i really wanted to get out. Only if I know I wont lose any settings I changed.
