There are a few infamous multiboxers on Excalibur, so I am wondering if this is their retainer. Regardless, holy shit that is a lot of materia.

Also why would anyone buy a 99 stack? It takes only 20 at most to meld Novus depending on how bad your RNG is. They were also selling 8 stacks of Savage Aim IIIs as well.

It can go two ways. One way, like you said, the multi-boxers farming on a script 24/7. Two, a serious gambler buying low and selling high.

Overmelds on i90 accessories, you want to buy a lot because you are having to do many 7-12% melds and it makes sense to just overestimate the amount you need and sell the leftovers at the prices you personally inflated. I probably bought more than a stack doing my overmelds. Though I don't think you could ever put pressure on demand with that sort of supply, and my condolences for materia prices on your server lol.

Looks like someone was buying all the low materia for a long time and decided to change the prices though they won't sell if you don't buy.

people will just undercut by singles and the only ones who will buy that is if they have zero patients and buy gil.

There's no way that's the case. Someone actually trying to sell these, wouldn't put them up in a stack of 99.

My guess is these belong to someone who obtained them through not-so-legitimate methods, just showing off.
