No Dungeon Book Credit

So today I was in Que for the lost City of Amdapoor for 50m. #1 it should not Take 50m Que to get into a dungeon. Second I died with 3% left on boss cause the person who volunteered to work doors failed, and killed the boss while I was dead. To do it again will be another hour and a half. Que + dungeon runtime. 3 Hours is Way To Much Waiste Of My Life for 1 dungeon Requirement for book. I'm sorry i don't know a way to get more people to do those dungeons to fix this problem. Maybe Quest should be edited to only require 1 dungeon. if the next 2 dungeons are this way, then that is 9 hours of dungeon time. for 1 book. or if you are in the dungeon and you get tome's for win. you should get credit for book too.

I'd sac pull the lower dungeons with 3 friends, clearing them in under 10m + insta que since its a party of 4. I'd suggest getting a FC/LS that will help you build your relic. Lots of expert dungeon runs in the future + map fights for the Alex, then lots of instanced things after that for lights.

Dungeons aren't even the hard part of those books. There are Fates with 4-6 hour spawn timers in there which dwarf the convenience of the DF since it literally tethers your character to a small portion of the map. If you really feel that sore about it, try doing a dungeon during more active times of the day such as the morning or early evening. Just having a single other person in your group helps too, so all you really need is a friend who can heal/tank.

As a suggestion, I normally go out of my way to do the Fates first, and then start queuing for dungeons while I hunt for the enemies and do the Leves.

Risk for reward. I don't think the quests need to changed just because you had a sort of bad group that one time. Using the DF is a risk you assume, and sometimes that risk doesn't pan out. Yes, it's awful when you take the risk for no reward because something happens (hence risk, mind you), but it's also something you sort of have to accept.

My advice would be to put up this PF for 10 minutes:

"Lost city of Amdapor for Animus book, help me out!"

Then after 10 minutes put this up:

"Paying 20k gil per slot for a Lost City of Amdapor clear for my book - I need credit for you to get gil!"

You should find plenty of other book people and Zenith weapon hopefuls who are willing to help in PF. Then you can gauge their knowledge before you go in and have another such experience. LCoA is so needed by so many people, your pool of talent (good and bad) is pretty deep.

really? its true that it sucks that you dont get cred if youre dead, but if you are doing the books, why are you dying in the firsft place? should have plenty of gear to help keep you alive, but things happen, and i dont necesarily think its right.

and yes, i know the pains of dps queue times, as i leveled a monk first, and even tank queues can be long in the dead of night.

You should have still hidden credit even if you were dead. Perhaps you qued the wrong ampador. Ampador keep, lost city of Ampador

You could have returned and gotten credit, no?

Not anymore, The Fates for Animus book are forced Spawn after max. 2 Hours since a while now.

No, You dont get the Credit for Animus Book When the you are dead when the Dungeon Boss dies.
