Minions & Companion Summoned Together? Why is this Restricted?

What is the reason for Minions being restricted while a Companion is out?

Why is this a thing? I'm sure it wouldn't take much to remove whatever restriction causes a Minion to be summoned during your Companions summon time. if its somehow completely tied to the companion system, then it needs to be removed and given a separate summoning paradigm... it shouldn't be locked up like this and if its for some "difficult to remove from existing system" that's a problem, and should really be looked into.

And yes, I'm sure this post has been made plenty of times but.. They have all been made for good reason and still in vain at this point.

Seriously what is preventing the minion from being attached to the player while a companion is out? does the game have some sort of restriction that makes it impossible? Can that restriction possibly be removed? as far as targeting and player distraction issues go, as far as I'm concerned that is on the player themselves to have their Minion, Companion, and Pet, all summoned together. If they can't handle that then they can change the extremely granular targeting settings in a manor that does fit them.

Idk... I'll just hope for this in every patch ever until its comes. and re post a thread like this once a month or so until they see it. That's how you get things you want in the game right? NA GD forums till enough people make traffic? ... Right? ^_^b

My guess is they don't want to tax the resources of users' consoles and computers to display them.

Or as I've seen so many other times on the forums: PS3 limitations. ;3

It seems that Minions, Companions and Mounts all use the same "activity slot" likely in order to limit server/client load. Even though minions are smaller, they contain similar amounts of data as even the largest mounts and only slightly less than a character.

Think about how much load 100 players in one area has, now double that to 200 for the equivalent character load all characters can add for Mounts/Minions/Companions and 300 if they are all Arcanists/Scholars/Summoners with pets summoned. If Minions, Mounts, and Companions were separated then you would add a further 200 characters to the load. 500 characters is not light and every additional player character would be another 5 potential characters.
