New here and need answer please about free compies

Hi , so I came back to this game on Ps3 so far no slow down at all yay ! I did have to redo my toon because i messed the look lol . what i need to know is this . I will want to group later on for dungeon and raid runs and crafting fun but do i really have to be in a free company for that since i have no clue on how to even accept a invite for one . I am making a BM i think the name is called black mage . anyways I can find no info on how to accept a invite on the ps3 with a controller for free companies at all !!!! I am truly new to this games systems so any help would be greatly appreciated . THANK YOU !!!! in advance ! :o

When you get an invite to an FC, it will show up on your screen if you're online. All you have to do is press select to highlight the invite, then x to open the FC menu, and you confirm/deny from there. If you aren't online, simply press start, scroll over to the social tab, and select free companies. The invite will be there.
Having said all that, you don't need an FC to do any raids or dungeons. This game uses a "duty finder" that groups you with people pulled from many different servers.

thanks because i got two invites yesterday but when i went to free company through menu it was still grayed out too me . like i had not been invited .

You might have to progress to a certain part of the main scenario to be able to join a free company. If that is a requirement (I honesty don't remember), it's a very low level quest.

No. Some dummies in my private fc were lvl 1. In some fc player may have a right to invite and don't have a right to submit application. In this situation invited should wait for another player do it.

No requirements are needed to join a FC i believe. There are requirements however if you want to start a fc up. Like certain level, gc rank and 3 signatures needed.
You do also have an option of just joining linkshells if Free Companies are not sometime you care to join yet.

thank you every one ! no my UI seems to have been messed up and would not let me hit select to even click on a invite . but since i am a bit of a idiot here have to save up to get a keyboard and mouse with all the other bills i have . I may not join one for awhile . though it does seem to make the game a bit lonely till i can get my bird and armor it at least .

The game will not force you to join a FC but there are advantages to joining one. A few of those advantages are; Creating social or raiding events, having a bunch of people to always chat with and a quick access to companionship if you need to do a dungeon or mission (That's if the FC you joined aren't all elitist and such)
