Concern over 2.4 housing plans

My concern is how the handling of "doubling the plots in wards" is going to be handled, especially the layout.

There are a lot of people who picked their plots specifically for it placement within the wards and the amenities there of. Be it board and bell placement, featured landmarks, or simply the view. Moving items around may upset quiet a few existing home owners.

My specific example (which is just about the perfect plot to have for my fc)
Mist plot 6
Mb and bell
Direct beach and peir access
Vendor access
Roof access (fireworks looked great from up there)
Limited and/or specific neighbors (we like the neighbors we have they are awesome)
It would be quite upsetting if any of these items were changed for us as they were all reasons we picked that specific spot over other potential locations.

I am all for more plots, but if you are going to do a layout design remember there is more to think about the just cramming more spaces in.

Look at these maps. If you notice each one has a road that is blocked off and leads to nowhere. This could be where they are going to expand the wards.

I must have missed where Yoshi-P said they were adding to the existing wards. The way I read it, they were simply going to be adding an additional 8 wards for a total of 16 wards.

With that said, I have also been suggesting that Yoshi-P and the Dev Team utilize what they have built into the existing wards (as shown in the post below with the roads to nowhere) and expand the wards to allow more land on each ward and also do it with the wards being added.

They pick up more land on the 8 existing wards and also double (ish) what they are adding with the 8 additional wards.

I am hoping that if they do this they change it up so we can use things like the Windmill in the Goblet as a directional marker for knowing where we are within each ward as we are navigating. This would also offer up some additional reasons for players who currently have houses (like my small FC house on Exodus located Mist Ward 1) to perhaps relocate.

I would personally like to see them tier the wards better (maybe with the expansion coming) so that everyone can have at least one really great view from their house location.

I would also hope that they also add in the option for those of us (like myself) who want the land more than the house. I personally have no overall love for any housing location (Goblet, Mist, Beds) because they are call cool and awesome in their own ways.

What I want is a Cabana house with a lot of land for putting up trees with hammocks, gardening, stables, crafting tables, and a storage vault with 1000 item storage cap and maybe an armory chest with a 50 cape per item type.

Regarding Housing Plot Availability in Patch 2.38 and Beyond

First of all, let me thank you all for your continued feedback.

As stated in the patch notes for Patch 2.38, the plots of land available for purchase in the housing areas will be the same for both Free Company and individual buyers. The introduction of housing plots in the future will also follow this structure.

However, we were only able to introduce two new wards at the release of personal housing. We know that this is a very small number of additional wards, and are aware that this means that a large number of players will be unable to purchase land. Please accept our sincerest apologies for being unable to add a large number of new housing plots.

The development team has been making the most of limited server resources to develop a new system that will allow us to add as many new housing plots as possible, but as we need to perform extensive optimization and debugging operations, we will not be able to implement this until Patch 2.4.

Some of you may be thinking it would have been better to simply wait until the release of Patch 2.4 instead of adding just a couple of housing wards, but please understand that we would like to do our utmost to ensure that new land is opened up as soon as possible, even if that means adding only a small number.

In the future, we plan to be able to double the total land for all existing housing wards, including the two new wards, in Patch 2.4 with the system changes that we are currently working on.
(Basically, the number of wards available now will be doubled in Patch 2.4).

With our current schedule for stability checks, it’s going to be difficult to add this in time for the release of Patch 2.4, but both the server and housing teams are working as hard as they can to make it possible. Once again, I’d like to share my sincerest apologies to all our players who have been unable to purchase land in the latest patch. Please hold on for another month or so until the release of Patch 2.4.

It isn't really to add wards, but rather to add space in the existing wards. The "the number of wards available now will be doubled" is actually a mistranslation.

建設用地 is "construction site" not "ward". So it's like "To put it simply, the number of construction sites in Patch 2.4 will be double what we've seen up to Patch 2.38." That's why the previous sentence is talking about doubling land in the existing wards, including the ones they just added.

So, would it be correct to assume that they plan to add an additional three housing zones in 2.4? Can't see them doubling the plots in the existing zones, so they'd have to add new areas, correct?

If that's the case, they need to clarify that quickly; some people are bound to be annoyed if new, subjectively better, areas open up after they've sunk their savings in the existing ones. It would also go some way to explaining what exactly they've been doing these past nine months.

I'm in agreement with the original poster of this. If they take advantage of those dead end roads to either add an identical area or make a new area with different plots I'm somewhat pleased. Not ecstatic because it still won't be enough but if they plop someones front door in the view of the house my FC was only just able to get a month or two later I'm not gonna be a happy camper and most people would not either I imagine. I think they call that adding insult to injury no?

I think we're already way past that...

Haven't you learned anything from SE in all of this time? They'll just take the cheapest and easiest option, which is adding 8 wards identical to the existing ones to each housing zone.

After the 2.38 implementation i think you guys are expecting way too much. Housing is too far down on the priority list for the devs, I see no way they put much work at all into it.
